The name "RED COCONUT" was inspired by Boracay's popularity for its PALMFRINGE WHITE BEACH as well as the country as a whole of note for COCONUT PALMS.
The COCONUT, which comes in diferent shades of green, yellow, and gold, is the product of a tropical palm tree, the COCONUT palm, a large hard-shelled edible nut, having a hollow center with milky fluid. There are many fascinating tales about the coconut. It has inspired festivals in some parts of the country like "The Pahiyas sa Lucban", "Mayohan sa Tayabas", and "Agawan Festival in Sariaya". It was also discovered to be an almost magical cure for kidney disease. The coconut has become so versatile, you will find everything about it useful, from the crown to its roots.

ACCOMMODATION: Red Coconut Beach Resort started operating in 1984 with two (2) rooms and presently offers 20 rooms : Sixteen (16) executive airconditioned rooms convertible to fan-cooled rooms, three (3) fan-cooled rooms, and one (1) family cottage. It's unique native-style cottages are laid-out in a tropical garden setting., each with its own verandah and tiled bathrooms with hot and cold shower. For your comfort and convenience, all executive rooms are furnished with telephone, intercom, cable TV, and a mini bar. Two (2) 220V power supply standby generators are on hand for emergency purposes.
RESTAURANT: For a hearty meal and cocktails, there's the Red Coconut Restaurant / Coffee Shop / Bar. Red Coconut specializes in grilled seafood, barbecue and international cuisine. Located right in front of the beach in a garden setting, you can relax and catch the spectacular sunset as you enjoy your cocktail or simply enjoy a special moment with a friend. And, it's a perfect place for parties.
FACILITIES: Our resort offers telephone, fax, mail, safety deposit and laundry services. Around the resort you can find the following activites like boat ride, fishing, horse back riding, bicycle and motorcycle rental, water sports facilities like snorkling, jet skiing, banana boat ride, wind surfing, scuba diving. We also offer other travel related services like passport and visa processing, flights and hotel confirmation, island tours and other domestic tour arrangements.
Boracay is located at the northern tip of Panay province and is about an hour and a half via Caticlan and three hours via Kalibo from Manila. Philippine Airlines (PAL), Air Philippines and Cebu Pacific fly daily to Kalibo, then airconditioned buses or private car transfers you to Caticlan Wharf where you board a motorized native banca that will bring you to the resort. Other airlines like Philippine Airlines fly from Cebu to Kalibo. Regular flights direct to Caticlan are provided by smaller airlines like Asian Spirit, Air Ads and Pacific Airways.
