From motorized to non-motorised water sports, Al Hamra Fort
Hotel has superb facilities for sports and leisure. A large,
fully equipped fitness centre, aerobic studio, massage room,
outdoor Jacuzzi, temperature controlled swimming pool, two
floodlit tennis court, minigolf, separate saunas for men and
women.
You can also play other activities such as Beach Volleyball,
Football, Water polo ball and Petanque or Buoles, all of these
on the 1.5 km of sandy beach we call our own.
Children
can have a great time as well, playing indoor and outdoor
games in the kid's playroom. They can play pool games in the
shaded kid's paddling pool or enjoy football on the beach.

Cruise to Musandam |
The
Musandam Peninsula, situated on the tip of Arabia, is
regarded as one of the most beautiful sites in the region.
» The departure from the hotel will be in the morning
by an air-conditioned vehicle towards a mountains
in parallel highways links the United Arab Emirates
with the Sultanate of Oman from the North and East
North borderline.
» We will make a short stop at the control
checkpoints in Teebat Area to carry out passport formalities.
Will resume driving towards the coast of Musandam,
by passing different villages, where one could easily
watch the beauty of nature by looking at the Arabian
Gulf alongside with the long, rocky coast and shall
make a stop to capture these magic moments of mountains
and open sea
» Dhow Cruise in Khasab, the charming
village of Khumzar, to discover the unexploited waters
of the Strait of Hormuz, which lies between Musandam
Peninsula and Iran divides the Arabian Sea from the
Gulf waters. The boat ride will take you around the
scenic coastal villages, some as low as 100 inhabitants
who survives in fishing and goat herding only. For
an afternoon break, Khor Najid is the perfect spot
for a picnic, or go swimming and snorkelling in relaxing
beach spots, where dolphins are known to go swimming
in their natural habitat.

City Tour
Departure from the hotel will be at 10:00 by an air
- conditioned vehicle. Beginning at the Old Souk, and
Waha Centreto have a glimpse of the pasttrade and commerce
of the City, it is one Ras Al Khaimah's attraction,
its traditional souks and outlets. The trip will continue
at the National Museum for a glimpse of rare relics
and fossils of different historical era. Continuing
at the Traditional Fish Market and stop at the Al Fallayah
which used to be the summer resorts of the ruling family
during the 18th Century.
Afternoon City Tour
Sight seeing Tour starts at 16:00 hrs. from the hotel
by going through a Desert Drive at the Al Dheeb Farm
& Al Aoafi, giving you the glimpse of golden sand
dunes with sunset back drop. Trip continues to the Ostrich
Farm, a rare experience to view these magnificent creatures
at close quarters. Next stop will be a visit at the
famous Khat Springs and traditional Arab house surrounded
by date palms. Lastly, a chance to have a glimpse of
the Camel Farm and its racetrack - a 10 km track built
for camel racing, where this special animals are being
taken care of by the local Bedouin tribes. |

The
Khat Village is very famous for its warm mineral water,
where a lot of people visit the area everyday. Since it
is known to cure illnesses such as Rheumatism and Muscle
Stiffness. Khat is also known for its Forts and chains
of mountains, linking the Emirates of Ras Al Khaimah with
the Emirates of Sharjah, Ajman and Fujairah.
The temperature of Khat mineral water is between 40C and
45C
Swimming in these blessed water, ladies and gents are
separated from each other, following the old tradition,
so as to give privacy to the womenfolk and let them splash
in their hearts content.

Departure
from the hotel will be late in the afternoon, by a 4 -
wheel drive vehicle. Passing through the golden desert
and different Wadis, to reach the other side of the mountains.
Several old villages will be passed through where village
folks live in isolation from the modern City, away from
technology and living with no electricity, simple life
and simple pleasures. Gaze in wonder of the Sunset, on
top of the mountains watching its colors scattered in
the sky. Trek around on the mountaintop, where silence
and the wind is your only companion.
NB: Please bear in mind, that picturing people without
asking permission is not accepted by most Mountaineers.

rare chance to see the magnificient views of the mountains,
the golden sand dunes and sparkling waters of the Emirates,
all of these you can view together and feast your eyes
on the beauty of nature in the surrounding areas of Ras

of the summer house of the Royal Family built on the top
of the mountains.

Golf Club & Academy |
The
Tower Links Golf Club is an 18 hole; Par 72 Golf course
and Golf Academy complete with driving range and short
game facilities. Nine holes and the practice facilities
will have floodlighting for night play.
The course is 7,000 yards in length with four tees: professional,
men, seniors and ladies, therefore providing tee-off opportunities
for all standards of play. Even though this is primarily
a tourist course with a variety of risk and reward challenges
- Tower Links will however, when played from the back
tees become a championship course.
The landscaping of the course will include over 2,000
palms, 6,000 trees, and 100,000 shrubs. In the near distance,
the Hajar mountains further enhance the already natural
quality of the course. The combination of all these features
creates a golf course unlike any other in the Middle East. |
